Remembering James King, Part 1

James King will always be remembered as one of the greats, leaving a legacy of excellent music. His work with the bluegrass super group Longview produced some of the best traditional bluegrass in recent decades and his last album, 2013’s Three Chords and the Truth, received a Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album. In September 2014, he was inducted into the Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame.

Drake's Forever Grateful Dad
Drake's Forever Grateful Dad Hi Ron. Would you be kind enough to dedicate the last James King song today to Drake, The Dancing Labrador, long time supporter, listener and dancer to CKCU FM and most shows, including Back 40. Drake passed away last Friday and dances no more. Thanks, Ron

MER
James King is indeed the Bluegrass Story Teller and deserved all his awards and accolades as well as being inducted into the Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame. His Bed by the Window was very touching. Great show, Ron.
