It's "Doors Open" at CKCU from 10 am to 4 pm today -- drop by the 5th floor of the Carleton University Centre to take a tour, say hello and catch some live performances!
Guests in the studio include Stephen Fearing, The Ragged Flowers, Nik Ives-Allison (OMIC), Kate Greenland, Trevor Pool and Mike Biggar. We also chat with Joyce MacPhee chats with Murray McLauchlan who will receive a Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award at the Governor General's Performing Arts Awards this evening.
Stephen Fearing performs at the Black Sheep in Wakefield Sunday evening. The Ragged Flowers will perform at Porchfest which runs in Almonte on Sat. June 16 from 3 to 6 pm. Kate Greenland is working on a new album. Mike Biggar (New Brunswick), who won the East Coast Music Association's 2018 "Blues Album of the Year" award, performs at Blueberry Hill Bistro in Vankleek Hill on Sun. June 3, The Rainbow in Ottawa on Tues. June 5, and Festival Folk et des Guitares in Aylmer on Fri. June 8.

I am so looking forward to the visit from Stephen Fearing and the phone call from Murray McLauchlan, who is being awarded a lifetime artistic achievement award at the Governor General's Performing Arts Award! And it is good to see that a second generation CKCUer, Kate Greenland, is also dropping by!
