Lonesome Paul shares his professional and personal memories of the late Mark Valcour, an exceptional sound engineer and teacher who left an enormous legacy. A celebration of Mark's life takes place this evening at 7 pm at the North Grenville Municipal Centre in Kemptville. Shawna Caspi and Derek Olive will both be performing as part of the new "Sounds Simple" concert series at A Thing for Chocolate, located at 1242 Wellington St. W., owned by Omar Fares. Michael Jerome Browne will be celebrating his new CD entitled "Sliding Delta" at Irene's Pub this Wednesday, Jan. 22. Mark Evenchick plays a new song and talks about the Gil's Hootenanny songwriting contest. He performs at 1:00 pm at Tunes After Noon at the Black Irish Pub in Vanier.

We will be adding Mark Valcours photo to the "Irene's Pub Friends We Miss" Wall later this evening. Sad to hear of his passing, but he will live on in our memories as long as the Pub carries on. Raise a glass to all those who have passed!
