This morning I’ve got some new music for you, an interview with Jason Lang, Penny Lang’s son, who is touring his recent album of Penny’s songs he recorded, and an interview in the 3rd hour with Bobby Dove who will be in Ottawa to play Red Bird Live on April 7th, Kate Greenland opening for Bobby. And we have lots of music, starting with some jazz, moving through a little skiffle, a little nonsense, some country and …well you’ll see. Stay tuned. I’ll tell you who you’re listening to.

| On Friday April 7 Red Bird Live is presenting Bobby Dove, a wonderful “classic country style” singer songwriter who you will just love if you get a chance to see them, and you should make the chance. Bobby used to live in Montreal but has moved to Manitoba, so our opportunity to see them is rare - and there will be a full band on stage, celebrating their latest album, pandemic ally released “Hopeless Romantic”. | Stone Fence Theatre is coming to town. This wonderful very talented troupe come from just up the valley in the Eganville/Pembroke rural areas, and have been putting on original musical plays since 2003 up in that area. This season they are bringing their play Tom Thomson & The Colours of Canada to Ottawa’s Ukrainian Hall on Byron Ave for two shows on May 13; 2pm and 7:30pm , with proceeds going to CHEO. |
