Silent Tears: The Last Yiddish Tango is a project that adapts the testimonies of Canadian women who survived the Holocaust to song. The CD version by the Payadora Tango Ensemble and several vocalists is coming out in January and the first launch concert featuring the Payadora Tango Ensemble and vocalist Lenka Lichtenberg will be taking place here in Ottawa at the National Arts Centre Fourth Stage on Tuesday, January 24.

Another great selection of music, Mike! And thanks for playing my instrumental ‘Clank Remembers”! It was appropriately placed after the Longest Johns fabulous version of “Mary Ellen Carter” because I wrote it in memory of Stan Rogers and played it on the very guitar that Stan wrote that song with. “Clank” was what Stan affectionately called his touring van! Happy New Year, my friend!
