Happy Friday “Drivers” fam!
Been a minute since I played some proper boots ’n cats a little slang my friend Paulo came up with referring to the genre we all call house music.
I used to do a show on Thursday morning from midnight to 2 AM here on CKCU that was started and dedicated to spinning the deeper end of house as I never seemed to have enough time to fit it in to “The New Soul Collective” which was the predecessor to the current 8 - 10 pm “Heavy Friends” slot on Saturdays.
Tonight’s playlist surfaced while digging in the crates for an event happening tomorrow in Wakefield which I’m quite excited for, more details forthcoming at the top of the second hour.
Between 5 - 6 pm I’ll be taking things up in the unwind portion of the show and give you a proper wind up for the weekend in the second hour.
Happy listening, thank you all for taking the time and hope you enjoy this week’s offering.
