Happy Friday Drivers!
Felt pretty good getting back into studio last week and I think I’m pretty close to being back into the swing of things.
Was still a mad dash trying to get my selections together for this week's show and still getting used to all the intricacies involved with a live studio broadcast.
Hope my struggles aren't reflected in the broadcast.
A decent mixed bag of the usual Friday Drive fare keeping it on an soulful R&B tip in the first half hour and unwind portion and taking it up with some Brazilian, afro latin vibes and winding things up with a couple house grooves.
Taking it up in hour two with a nod to the king of afrobeat, Fela's birthday last week on October 15 with the classic "Shuffering & Shmiling" followed up with a shot of "The Sweet Talks International" out of Ghana and wrapping up hour two with some jazzy electronica.
Got to keep reminding you the funding drive is coming up quickly and will be kicking off October 27th and running until November 12th.
