Propulsé par notre amour pour la culture, Le Pressoir s’est transformé en une entité en soi, plus grande que la somme de nos trois têtes. Mais à son cœur, Le Pressoir a toujours demeuré un projet de passion porté par notre volonté et notre « drive ». Cinq ans plus tard, nous sommes fier·e·s de la place que tient Le Pressoir dans l’écosystème culturel. Une place qui ne pourrait exister si ce n’était de l’implication et le travail acharné d’Elly Laberge, cofondatrice et pilier de la scène depuis bien longtemps. Celle que plusieurs ont connu grâce à son émission de radio Indie City Madness aux ondes de CKCU depuis 2014, d’autres à travers son blogue Eventful Capital, qui a existé pour près de 7 ans, passe maintenant à un nouveau projet de vie à l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard, où elle continuera de contribuer à l’écosystème culturel canadien grâce à son poste chez Innovation PEI comme agente de développement culturel. Notre (très grande) perte est le gain de tous les Prince-Édouardiens et toutes les Prince-Édouardiennes, qui découvriront à leur tour cette personne incroyable avec une passion inépuisable pour les arts et la culture. À la fois, notre reconnaissance à l’égard de son implication est immense et nous sommes également tristes de savoir que nous ne pourrons plus la côtoyer régulièrement. C’est un vide immense qu’elle laisse au sein de notre équipe. Nous avons envie de la célébrer!
