Hope(y) New Year "Drivers"! The first week of January hasn't been a walk in the park this year, having come down with what I believe is the latest Rona variant but without being able to be tested, who knows. Due to the circumstances I've dug into the archives to rebroadcast this episode from the Summer. Thank you for all of your understanding and I plan to be back next week with a fresh new episode. What follows is the original show description and details. Hope you enjoy the show! This week was a tough one. Truly saddened and outraged by the discovery in Kamloops. Although I consider myself somewhat aware of the tragic legacy of colonialism, once again I’m dismayed that we as so called human beings can inflict such pain and suffering on one another. My heart goes out to all my first nations sisters and brothers, I’m in mourning with you. I’ve pulled a few songs I felt spoke to me at this time and the show will be a bit contemplative at points while still trying to bring the usual “Friday Drive” to you all. This episode is by no means a tribute or focused on this past week's discoveries but simply some music that seemed to bubble up that felt somewhat relevant at this time.
