[FDFDF 2/3] Time to raise some $

Happy Friday "Drivers"! Here we go with the second annual "Friday Drive Funding Drive Freestyle" or "FDFDF" part two of three shows where I try to showcase a bit of the music we feature weekly in this two hour slot while trying to impress upon all of you how important you all are in keeping this show and CKCU on the air. Simply put, donations from the community make up close to half of our operating budget, broken down works out to $54/hour to keep the station on the air. Friday Drive costs about $5600 a year to air each year or $108/ episode. One hundred of you with a $50 donation or $1/week would be all it would take for me to do my part in keeping the station operational. I can honestly say it's not easy to ask for money in any circumstance but I do because CKCU has provided myself and countless others a platform, a resource and a community that given back for nearly fifty years. We call on you for two weeks of the year to give a little back to us. There is no CKCU without "U"...
