Kathleen Edwards joins us to talk about her new album Billionaire

Kathleen Edwards has been on this show many, many times since she emerged on the Ottawa music scene back in the early 2000s, and it is always a pleasure to welcome her back to talk about her music. She has just released her brand new album Billionaire, and we enjoy a lengthy conversation about some of the themes she's exploring on these songs and depth she goes to in creating powerful, songs that resonate with her and with her many fans. I wanted to talk to her more about the amazing work of Jason Isbell on this album (as co-producer and the versatile guitarist who brings so much to the sound of this recording) and comparing some of the themes on this album with past songs like Oh Canada on Asking For Flowers. Sadly, time simply did not allow for that and maybe we'll have her back before her Ottawa concert, November 8th at the Bronson Centre. We do, however, have a great conversation about where she goes with these songs and how they really do tap into her soul and express a variety of strong feelings about life in all its richness and in its ups and downs.
