We open the show in conversation with Evan Crofton, who goes by the name of Alistair Blu when he's performing with his group Busty and the Bass. The Montreal outfit has just released a brand new EP entitled The Mannequin, and it continues the band's trend of mixing elements of funk, soul, r&b, jazz, hip-hop and pop into an infectious, groovy sound. Alistair talks about all of these influences and how the group works with them in the studio when creating new music and on stage when they bring it to life in concert. Expect a bold, brassy and groove-oriented night at the Bronson Centre when the group performs on Saturday night, February 8th.

Next we talk to the awesome Newfoundland singer-songwriter, Kellie Loder. They released their fourth album last year and will be playing music from it and all of their releases at the National Arts Centre's Fourth Stage next Wednesday, February 12th. Kellie has created really powerful and beautiful videos to accompany the songs from their latest album. We talk about the video for When We Kiss which is predominantly made from videos sent to Kellie by their fans - it's a lovely video that you can check out here:

We also talk about the powerful narrative portrayed in the split screen video for the song Can't Go Back, which you can watch here:
