Barnaby Smith is Artistic Director of the internationally renowned vocal ensemble VOCES8. The group hails from Britain and released one of the most beautiful albums of 2024, Nightfall. Barnaby tells us about the pieces on the album and the group's dedication to music education. Nightfall includes some pretty stunning interpretations of a wide range of musical pieces including Fljótavík by Sigur Ros and Max Richter's On The Nature of Daylight (used in the opening and closing of the amazing film Arrival.) As well, Barnaby tells us the background stories of two stunning pieces on this album - Even When He Is Silent and Good Night, Dear Heart.
