We open the show in conversation with Dave Monks, the bassist, vocalist and lyricist with Tokyo Police Club. The band has been making music for about 20 years and the four members who have been friends since elementary school have decided to bring the band to an end and move on to other musical and artistic endeavours. Dave talks about that decision, how the farewell tour has been going and what to expect when Tokyo Police Club performs its final Ottawa show on Friday, November 22 at Algonquin Commons Theatre.

Then we talk to Karen Donnelly, the Principal Trumpet with the National Arts Centre Orchestra. She will be in the spotlight on Wendesday, November 27 and Thursday, November 28 when she performs John Estacio's Trumpet Concerto with the NACO. Karen tells us why this is such a special concerto and how excited she is to be finally performing it. We also talk about how much she loves passing on her passion for music through education and how challenging it is to manage her music life while raising infant twins.
