On today's show we open in conversation with Nils Edenloff, the lead singer and guitar/keyboard player with Rural Alberta Advantage. The group released its first album in 6 years in October of 2023 and will be coming to Ottawa to perform at the Bronson Centre on Saturday, March 9th. Nils talks to us about what took so long between albums this time around and how great it was to welcome Amy Cole back into the fold for this album. She was an original member of the band who had stepped away from the group for a few years and one album. We also explore some of the themes explored in the songs on this very strong new album. The group released three celebrated albums over those years and has recently reformed to celebrate the re-release of Hey Loser and will be performing in Ottawa at Club SAW on Thursday, March 7th. We talk to Luke about how the band served as one of the earliest outlets for his songs and how they have gotten back together for a series of upcoming shows.
