Interviews with Sekou Lumumba of Big Wreck, Caroline Marie Brooks of Good Lovelies and Lynn Miles

On the show today we open things up talking to former Ottawa resident Sekou Lumumba, who is currently the drummer with Big Wreck. The band is coming to Ottawa on Thursday, December 21st at the Bronson Centre. It was a total pleasure to reconnect with Sekou today and we first reminisced about his days performing in Ottawa with groups like Rebo and Illegal Jazz Poets. Sekou tells us about performing with a variety of groups and how he fits into Big Wreck. He also talks about what went into making the new Big Wreck album Pages and how the group is putting together setlists for this tour. And... he reveals the song behind the Big Wreck song "That Song." It's startling for me... haha. I ask Caroline if it's gutsy to be doing a show soooo close to Christmas and we talk about what will be happening as part of this annual event. We also talk a bit about the group's new album, We Will Never Be The Same, which was released in October, and we play one of the new songs on the show today.
