Interviews with Steph Strings and Keltie Duncan of Sleep Late

I LOVE doing this show. One week ago I didn't know anything about Australian Steph Strings or Ottawa band Sleep Late. And here we are this week and I'm big fans of both and had a chance to talk to them... well to a member of Sleep Late. Steph Strings is in her early twenties and making a splash internationally as a great singer-songwriter and an AMAZING guitarist. It was a pleasure to listen to her new e.p. Lion, watch the incredible video her friends made with her for the title track and get to know more about her music. It was also a pleasure to talk to her about her songs, her creative process and what to expect when she plays at the Rainbow this Thursday, August 3. The group just released TODAY a brand new e.p. called Perfect Ruin. It's the first release from the group since 2018 and the songs have a post-punk, 80s new-wave vibe with great guitar sounds and vocal harmonies. Keltie tells us why it's taken some time for the third e.p. to come out and how getting together with her bandmates during the pandemic really helped them all through the lockdowns and difficult times.
