We open the show in conversation with Chris Blades of the group Birds of Bellwoods. Chris tells us about the band's new album "Everything You Want" and what to expect when the group plays at the Rainbow tonight (Thursday, April 27th.) Mick was a producer/host here at CKCU-FM back in the 1980s and part of the local music scene as a member of the Randypeters, Town Cryers and Porcelain Owl. He currently lives in Toronto and works as a sports broadcaster. He has been playing with other musicians in Toronto for years, but back in 2021 released his debut album of solo music under the name The Ring Shepherds. Today Mick talks about several songs on the album and some of the musical influences reflected on this release.
