Enjoy! We open the show today celebrating the music of Canadian folk icon Penny Lang. She was an incredible force on the Canadian folk music scene for several decades and she sadly died in 2016 at the age of 74. Producer and musician Jason Lang is Penny's son and he has just released a lovely album paying tribute to the great songs of his late Mother. Jason tells us about the great spirit of his Mother and how it lives on in these songs. We talk about how Penny was a person who understood the power of that amazing connection between the artist and the audience that happens at a music concert. He shares with us how he went about selecting the songs for this album Handled With Care and how he produced it by playing every instrument and singing every line (with one exception) on the recording. It's a great sounding album and a great tribute to the woman who created these songs.
