An interview with Ken Yates about his new album Quiet Talkers
On the show today we meet Ken Yates, a singer-songwriter who has released his third album during this COVID pandemic. His song "Surviving Is Easy" feels like a quiet anthem for our times. The new album Quiet Talkers features songs that are predominantly written from the perspective of the quietest person in the room and feature characters who are struggling with a variety of demons but ultimately prove resilient and generally find a way through it all with strong connections to others. The album was produced by Jim Bryson and Ken tells us how Jim contributed to the sound of the album and how all of these characters come to life in the songs on this new album. It is a great recording. Check it out by listening to the show and by visiting Ken's website and his Bandcamp site where you can buy a download of the album.
