Interviews with the Northern Pikes and Abigail Lapell

Great artists on the show today who can talk and shed light on their music and how they make it. We start with Jay Semko of the Northern Pikes. The Northern Pikes have just released a new album full of new songs titled Forest of Love. It's the first full new recording by the band in sixteen years. Jay talks to us about how the band got back together to tour a couple of years ago around the release of the 30th Anniversary Edition of Big Blue Sky and how that touring eventually resulted in the band getting back in the studio to record new music. Jay shares how it was relatively easy and a lot of fun recording the new album and he also talks about how Kevin Kane of the Grapes of Wrath joined the group.
