To start the show today we talk to Jay Semko of the Northern Pikes. Universal Music has just re-released the group's 1987 masterpiece pop album "Big Blue Sky" and the band will be back in Ottawa on October 25 to perform at Mavericks. We talk about the broad themes explored on the album and how some of them are quite dark. Jay talks about his own challenges with mental health issues and substance abuse and how songs have been an important part of his life and a true reflection of himself. He talks about how much he's enjoyed revisiting these songs and what to expect at the concert next Wednesday night at Mavericks.
