We open the show today with an older track by the Balconies and then catch up with Liam Jaeger of the band about the new album Rhonda, just as Liam was about to soundcheck at Lee's Palace in Toronto. You can hear lots of new music from the Balconies when they play at House of Targ here in Ottawa on Saturday night (Nov. 19th.) http://thebalconies.ca/ Next up we catch up with Slim Cessna as he was travelling across Nebraska.. so his cell coverage drops out a bit on some answers but we hear enough to get some understanding of how the group decided to call the new album the Ten Commandments and name each song as one of the ten commandments. The songs have nothing to do with Moses and his tablets as Slim explans. It's a bold upbeat album that channels late 70s disco and funk as well as mid-80s Euro dance sounds in a very contemporary sounding pop-dance blend.
