Phil Hogarth of The Lake Effect tells us about their CD release party next Saturday, September 12 at the National Arts Centre Fourth Stage. Red Leaf Music's Trish Murray is putting together a showcase of five singer-songwriters who are trying to raise funds to take them to Toronto to play at the annual Folk Music Ontario Conference. That gig is Thursday, September 10 at "Live on Elgin" 220 Elgin Street. And House of PainT Festival Executive Director Patrick McCormack lets us know about the performers, venues and events planned for this year's festival of urban music and arts, which opens Wednesday, September 9 and runs until Sunday, September 13.
