One of those crazy shows with four interviews!!! Slim Cessna's Auto Club is in at Ritual Friday night (May 22.) Slim called in from Toronto where he was about to go on stage for some special NOW Magazine event... so he's a bit distracted but manages to give us some insights into his band's awesome roots sound! Lotsa fun. Romi Mayes brings the songs of her new big, bluesy rootsy-rock album "Devil On Both Shoulders" to Irene's on Saturday night (May 23.) She ducked out of a boring drum check (is there an exciting one!?) to talk to us about her admiration for songwriter David Essig and her great new album. The Weather Station is Tamara Lindeman. She brings her very personal songs to life on her new album Loyalty and she's at the Black Sheep Inn on Saturday night (May 23) with a full band. Should be a lovely show. Finally Nick Ferrio brings the sounds of his new album to House of Targ on May 28. He talks about some surprising songs on his new album Amongst the Coyotes and Birdsongs... we also talk about the current state of the new country music! Get out and see some live music this week!!
