Interviews with Cris Derksen, Chris MacLean and Lindy Vopnfjord

Today we talk to three awesome artists performing in Ottawa in the next few weeks. Cris Derksen is a stunning cellist who creates beautiful haunting music. She is half-Cree and will be bringing her aboriginal music showcase the Red Ride Tour to Ottawa on Wed. June 3 at Club SAW. http://crisderksen.virb.com/bio Ottawa's Chris MacLean is releasing a new album on Sunday (May 17) with a show at the Black Sheep Inn at 4 p.m. It's a beautiful mix of songs called Procrastinator but as Chris explains in the interview, it's more than procrastination that has made for such a big gap between albums. http://www.chrismaclean.com/ Finally we talk to Lindy Vopnfjord about his new album Young Waverer. It's a great pop-rock soundtrack for summer that you'll want to check out, although we played and talked a lot about a beautiful song called Lover Sister. Lindy is playing solo tonight (May 14) at the NAC. http://lindymusic.com/ Get out and see some live music this week!
