Interviews with The Mix, The Provincial Archive, and Timber Timbre
DJ Food will be at Ritual Saturday (Sept. 20th) with some DJ friends revisiting all of the sample tunes used to make the Beastie Boys seminal album Paul's Boutique. Its a big turntable show called Caught In the Middle of a 3 Way Mix. Speaking of mixes, The Mix is an "inclusive" band that has members with various developmental disabilities. They make great music and will be at Zaphod Beeblebrox on Friday night (Sept. 19th) The Provincial Archive play Zaphod Beeblebrox on Saturday night as well. The band's awesome new album is called It's All Shaken Wonder. Timber Timbre brings it spooky sounds to the NAC Studio tonight. Taylor called late but we managed to squeeze him in for a couple of minutes talking about the cinematic sound of his band. Get out and see some live music this week.
