Rebecca Campbell is back in town to do a gig with Russell Levia at Irene's Pub on Friday night. Rebecca joins Janis in the studio to chat about the gig and take a look back over her career.
We often take organizations like the Ottawa Folklore Centre for granted, but we shouldn't. They need our support. The Ottawa Folklore Centre is much more than a business - it is a cultural hub, and right now it is facing financial difficulties. Bill Garrett of Borealis Records isn't from Ottawa, but he's stepping up to help the Folklore Centre by putting together a benefit concert featuring Lynn Miles, Terry Tufts, James Keelaghan, Sneezy Waters, Finest Kind and many more. The benefit is next Thursday, July 31 at the Southminster United Church on Bank Street at the corner of Aylmer. Bill Garrett phones in to tell us what's afoot.
