| The Tuareg are a minority in Niger, which, like most African nations, contains many ethnicities. We will hear one side from each of the two lp's which comprise this fantastic snapshot of Nigerien music which Hisham Mayet recorded between 2004 and 2014 over the course of six expeditions to Niger. We heard side B last week, so side A begins today! With Hausa, Fulani, Zarma, and Songhai music. |
