Profound and beautiful music from Iran and Nepal with Hossein Alizadeh & Pejman Hadadi, Nepalese classical group Sur Sudha

Today's show features some of the most profound music I have in my library: Hossein Alizadeh & Pejman Hadadi in a new live recording. We hear a performance of Rast-Panjgah recorded in a concert from Torbat Heydarieh in Northeastern Iran. We also hear some beautiful music from Nepal with the classical group Sur Sudha comprising Surendra Shrestha on tabla, Prem Rana on bansuri, Rajeev Shrestha on sitar, Bikash Sumar on guitar. They will be performing in Ottawa this Saturday (6:30-10pm) at a benefit dinner & concert raising funds to rebuild a highschool destroyed in the recent earthquake.
