Today as part of my 2014 focus on Brazil, we look at a great compilation focusing on contemporary urban music from Sao Paulo Brazil. This stunning survey shows just how rich and varied Brazilian music is, especially when realizing this is still just a small slice of it.
I listen to CKCU often, there are a lot of great programs! Today we'll hear a few things I've heard on Ryan Bresee's Thursday morning show "Whatever's Cool With Me" which I really enjoyed.
We'll also hear some classic Tabu Ley, some Ethiopian music, some Souljazz.

Cool of you to feature stuff heard on other shows -- Whatever's Cool With Me in this case. Nothing like a little cross pollination. ;^) Yeah, Ryan runs a great show. Suggest mention he does *lots* of co-hosting, based on Funding Drive. That's how I got my toe in the door ... 7 years ago now.
