Colin is a fan of traditional music from the British Isles and beyond and has hosted Music from the Glen since September 2005. He got married to someone who likes trance/EDM and somewhat sheepishly seems to have a fair amount of that on his streaming playlists as well. He's happy when the Deep Blue is on, has a soft spot for Vintage Love, and as a true child of the 80s bows down to Professor Mike and Night Trax. He looks for beats in 12/8 across all musical styles, and his favourite chord is the sus4 because, let's be honest, he's a bit of a cheeseball.

He's a computer scientist by original training and career (Carleton class of '99) and having been CKCU's webmaster for decades he was also the architect of COD (CKCU's Online Database), which launched in 2010 and that you are browsing right now. While he keeps his hand in, he is thankful to be mostly providing support and advice to the station's web committee these days.

Outside CKCU he's now a government executive in policy, and he chairs the board of MASC, an inspiring local non-profit that brings professional artists to those schools and communities that need the arts the most.
