Doreen conjures impressionistic post-punk at odds with easily marketed identity. Inspired by the playful irreverence of bands like Swell Maps and Orange Juice, and with the lyrical fervor of an ill patient desperately trying to reach beneath the surface, Doreen spits out songs both dancey and dour, complex and ragged.
Doreen is touring in support of their new full-length album "Ruthless Severance" - out now on Double Lunch Records.
