There are similarities: both are quartets; both recorded June 3, 2006; both feature the trumpet; both on European record labels (Clean Feed out of Portugal and Hatology out of Switzerland). But there are differences: one is a live recording and one is a studio recording; one features horns and drums, while the other features cello and vibraphone; one is more aggressive while the other is more intimate and subdued.
