Guitarist Henry Kaiser and trumpeter Wadada Leo Smith formed Yo Miles! in the late 90s to "explore the alchemical implications of what Miles Davis was doing in the peak electric period, 1973-75." Last year, the ensemble released two recordings, Lightening and Shinjuku, with some previously unreleased live and studio cuts, along with the return of some tracks from out-of-print earlier releases.
