Ellery Eskelin, the Secret Museum, 1999

Ellery Eskelin is known to produce complex compositional ideas as improvisations. They are taxing both on the audience and the musicians themselves but surely provide the feeling of an intellectual tour de force which everybody feels proud of. Tonight, we will survey his 1999 HatHut recording with the accordionist Andrea Parkins and Jim Black on drums. Eskelin recorded extensively for the HatHut label.
