La Marmite Infernale: Au Charbon!!

La Marmite Infernale is one of the several bands within a musicians' collective from Lyon (France) called l’Association à la Recherche d’un Folklore Imaginaire (ARFI). This association is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2017. In a country in which all successes must be sanctioned in Paris, this is an exceptional story. ARFI is similar to AACM in the States and shares the same objectives -- promoting creative music and linking with other forms of art without the control of the big music companies.
