Anthony Braxton vs bassist Peter N. Wilson 1991

The production of recordings by Anthony Braxton has reached encyclopedic proportions. One of the reasons for such an output is that Braxton tried every single combination of instruments or concepts that are beyond imagination. Tonight we will explore his 1991 CD in duet with bassist Peter Wilson. Here, on top of playing a wide variety of instruments from contra-bass clarinet to sopranino saxophone, Braxton also explores minimalistic music that we know more from musicians such as Steve Reich. The combination of textures from the various instruments and minimalistic phrases repeated over and over again with minimal changes creates an explosive atmosphere.
