French clarinetist Louis Sclavis vs ECM
The ECM label is a living legend in European Jazz. It is often associated with a very specific sound. Keith Jarrett was one of the first beneficiaries of this organization. Lesser known musicians like trumpetist Paul Smoker also got a taste of ECM. Avantgarde people are not excluded from it but sometimes they are asked to play music that matches the ECM sound. French clarinetist Louis Sclavis didn't escape this requirement. Sclavis having been involved in a wide range of projects didn't have any problems to adapt. As usual with French musicians, projects have a taste of satiric content. This time it is the French language itself that has been the target. The music as usual is also of the wide range side with vignettes made of Rock, Free Jazz and even Be Bop.
