IMOO has another coup around the corner. This coming Sunday, October , they will feature the very prolific Montreal Ensemble Supermusique at Club Saw. http://www.supermusique.qc.ca/en/artistes/ensemblesupermusique_/ The Ensemble Supermusique is a collective composed of some of the best Montreal based improvisers like Jean Derome, Lori Freedman, Scott Thomson, Pierre Tangay, etc… that reaches both locally, nationally and internationally. It is devoted to improvised music of the latest trends. One basic principle consists of mounting projects using musicians from a pool of musicians. This means that every performance is different because it is composed of different assemblies of musicians and also different musicians are in charge of composing or even leading. Tonight we will survey their 2005 CD “Il y a du bruit dans ma cabane”. A couple Jazz festivals to look forward to: For a year now, there is something new in the Ottawa region. This is the concept of festivals featuring mainly local Jazz musicians and more important, they are successful festivals. There are two such festivals to consider in the immediate future: 1.
