The 38 year-old is pushing the boundaries with her music which embodies an original jazz sound infused with rock, soul, funk, Latin, and elements of the avant-garde. She is a Berklee college alumni and has made history as the colleges’ youngest teacher at just 20 years old. In 2017, she was appointed professor of the Practice of Music at Harvard University. Her presence in the jazz community is innovative, powerful and cannot be ignored. Esperanza is a jazz force to be reckoned with!
