Live Interview with Dave Schroeder - Carleton's very own Jazz History Professor
In a Mellow Tone hosts Natalie McGrath & Heavy Ben are live in the booth tonight, interviewing a special guest for the funding drive -- Carleton's very own Jazz History professor, Dave Schroeder.
Dave Schroeder has a Doctorate degree in musical arts from the University of Miami, and has a wealth of knowledge to share on the historical, sociological and aesthetic features of various jazz forms and their developments throughout time.
As a bassist himself, Schroeder has many years under his belt collaborating and playing with many artists around the city, even making an appearance at Bluesfest this year. If we’re lucky enough, we’ll get to hear him play a few tunes on the bass for us tonight! Stay tuned!
