In the first hour, music from drummer Roy Brooks (born today in 1938, died in 2005) and his activist band The Artistic Truth, and recordings of Brooks supporting Horace Silver, Max Roach's M'Boom, Chet Baker, and Yusef Lateef.
In the second hour, music from BBE's J Jazz collection. The British label has done us a great service by compiling three triple-vinyl sets of amazing and very hard to find modern jazz recorded in Japan from the late 60s through the early 80s.
