@robert p - yes that was likely the Azmari tune. They are a Belgian group with influences including Ethiopian jazz, Turkish psych, dub, amid other influences

I must say that this latest Femi Kuti album is excellent from start to finish, and it is coupled with an album from Femi's son Made (heard in hour two tonight)

Ben, I totally agree. The last few offerings from Femi Kuti have been 'meh' - generic afro-beat. This new one is back close to the high standard he set earlier in his career.

Concur. I have enjoyed Seun Kuti's output over the past 10 years far more than Femi's. So this latest album was a welcome surprise. No side-long cuts a la Fela (most are 3-5 minutes), just a tight, catchy and upbeat record.
