In A Mellow Tone
Wednesday July 22nd, 2020 with Bruce Walton
Early Ornette / Ernest Dawkins / mix

Ornette Coleman recorded his first 4 lp's in Los Angeles in 1958 and 1959 - we hear tracks from each, as well as a live recording with Paul Bley added to the classic quartet of Coleman, Don Cherry, Charlie Haden and Billy Higgins. Also, some tracks from Afro-Straight by Ernest Dawkins, mixed with some other stuff.
