When he moved to Germany in the '60s he was mostly known as an avant-garde Jazz player, but his background in classical music provided him with lots of gigs in the classical field. Straight ahead Jazz was soon to follow, including Rock music. In other words, he didn't leave any stones unturned. Today we will survey his last CD that he devoted to Jazz standards. Louis Sclavis carreer started in the mid '70s as a Free Jazz musician. He devoted most of his creativity to the bass clarinet and quickly became one of the most in demand clarinetist in France and in Europe, playing constantly to sold out audiences.
