John Tchicai was a European black alto saxophonist playing a very lyrical Free Jazz. He got involved with various Afro-American musicians including Don Cherry. Tonight we will sample a 1980 recording made with Don Cherry and a number of Swiss musicians like Irène Schweizer and Pierre Favre.
John Butcher is a British Free Jazz tenor saxophonist that is specialized in producing various textures. tonight he is accompagned by drummer and percussionist Stale Liavik Solberg
