Blackie & The Rodeo Kings formed in 1996 to pay tribute to songwriter Willie P. Bennett. Their supposed “one-off” album HIGH OR HURTIN’: The Songs Of Willie P. Bennett turned into a long career of excellent recordings. The first album was so good I thought it deserved a show to itself.
