Happy New Year to you as well, Renny. Lovely set of music for a Sunday Eve. I'm getting a jaunty, optimistic vibe.

I find jug band music and string band music some of the most joyous music I've ever heard. "The Jazz Fiddler" by the Mississippi Sheiks never fails to make me smile.

Hey hillbilly. I was wondering if you were listening. I played some very early harp recordings. Check out Will Shade sometime, he played harp in the Memphis Jug Band.

And before I get any complaints. The only reason I'm playing "Dixie" is because it's by an African-American roots band, the Carolina Chocolate Drops. Just putting it into context.

Thank you for listening and thank you to Frankie and hillbilly for letting me know that they were listening. It's hard going up against the Simpsons every Sunday. Cheers and have a happy new year. May your next spin around the sun be filled with love, laugher and great, great music.

Yeah, it was kind of like a general music show done through a roots filter.
