Merle Travis was one of country music's brightest lights in the Post-War years. Whether it was hillbilly boogie, western swing, blues, folk or jazz, Merle could play it all. His Kentucky finger-picking style of playing became known as Travis-picking. Tonight's show features his Capitol recordings from 1946 to 1955.
